An all-women research team at Wayne State University invites adult women who have been sexually assaulted to participate in a confidential online survey. The purpose of this voluntary survey is to understand if and how survivors seek information and support online related to sexual assault. The survey will be used to understand the online needs of survivors, which could inform agencies and survivor websites on how to better meet the needs of survivors. The survey will consist of questions about your experience with sexual assault, if you seek information or support from the Internet to cope with the assault, and what those experiences have been like. The survey would take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete and you will be compensated with a $20 Amazon e-gift card for your time. Amazon sells multiple types of items such as books, music, clothing, and groceries. You may be eligible to participate if you are a) a female citizen of the United States; b) have experienced a sexual assault in your lifetime; and c) use the Internet at least once a month. If you are interested in participating, you may click on the link to the survey www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22BM773A7N2/If you have questions, you may reach the research team at ssw-womensproject@wayne.edu or 313-577-5942.
